Infosec Flex and Skills release: New cyber range and NERC CIP Boot Camp

January 07, 2020

The Command Line Basics Cyber Range is live in Infosec Skills, providing entry-level professionals with a hands-on way to learn popular command-line tools and utilities. A new Infosec Flex NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Boot Camp is open for enrollment with dates scheduled throughout the year. A number of improvements were also made to custom learning paths and other Infosec Skills features.

New cyber range: Command Line Basics

The Command Line Basics Cyber Range introduces the most common Linux and Windows command-line tools used by IT and security professionals. It complements the CompTIA Security+ and Information Security Fundamentals learning paths and provides hands-on experience performing fundamental system and network administration tasks.

As you progress through the cyber range, you’ll learn everything from basic navigation commands to managing privileges and permissions to port scanning, remote access and more.
