Infosec IQ release: Learner experience & accessibility upgrades

June 19, 2019

The latest Infosec IQ release includes significant improvements to the learner experience. The AwareEd™ learner course page now includes:

  • Screen reader support
  • Improved keyboard navigation
  • Visual improvements & simplified navigation
  • Mobile friendly design
  • Course language selector
  • And more

The Infosec IQ release also includes PhishSim™ whitelisting and usability improvements, new training content voiceovers and SCORM as a Service translations.

Learner experience improvements

The AwareEd learner course page has a brand new look. The improved, mobile-friendly design allows learners to view their course, module and assessment progress, review mandatory policies and view their completion certificate.

In addition to the visual enhancements, learners can now view training modules, assessments, security policies and completion certificates from a single page, simplifying navigation and eliminating the need to open multiple browser tabs.

A new course language selector allows your employees to adjust the default language for all training modules and assessments in the assigned course. If a module or assessment is not available in the learner-selected language, the training content is delivered in the default language configured in the AwareEd campaign.

Learner accessibility upgrade

For the latest improvements in Infosec IQ accessibility, read more here.

Along with visual enhancements and improvements to usability, the new learner course page includes features that make training content accessible to all learners including those with disabilities.

Screen reader support

The new learner course page is optimized for screen reader usability (including hints for screen reader navigation), helping vision-impaired learners navigate, interact with the page and complete training assignments.

Improved keyboard navigation

The new learner course page fully supports keyboard navigation, making it easy for learners to navigate the course and interact with training modules and assessments.

Additional learner touchpoints

With the latest release, the new learner course page is the only employee-facing change. Enrollment emails, training links, notifications, training modules, simulated phishing emails and education pages all remain unchanged. All existing and future AwareEd campaigns will adopt the new learner course page, but no changes are required from Infosec IQ program administrators.

New training content

The Phishing and Password Security modules are now available with an alternative English voiceover option. The Mandarin version of Social Engineering is now available via SCORM as a Service, bringing Infosec IQ’s SCORM-compliant module count to over 170 training modules.

What else is new?

  • PhishSim whitelisting test and confirmation
  • Question library sortable by author
  • Edit PhishSim template from the preview window
  • App color updates and UI enhancements
