Introduction to PowerShell

In this introductory path to PowerShell, your instructor, Ross Casanova, will introduce you to the basic syntax and structure of PowerShell commands, PowerShell cmdlets and usage. He will show you how to install PowerShell, use it to manage Windows components, explore host applications and console settings, and much more. Along the way, his demonstrations and cheat sheets will help you learn various cmdlets and functions, and the knowledge checks after each course will show how much you've learned along the way.

PowerShell parameters

In this course we will introduce PowerShell Parameters, the Help cmdlet and its properties, and using commands related to objects. In a practical exercise, you will demonstrate your understanding by using the Update-Help function. Then you'll test your knowledge with a set of assessment questions.

Working with variables and operators in PowerShell

In this course, we will move into aliases, show & pipeline commands, operators, as well as setting up variables and scripts. We will also cover how to export files to a directory.

Introduction to using PowerShell on a network

Course - 00:28:00

This course trains you how to use PowerShell networking functions. It will cover how to get started with PowerShell on a network, and then get into network-related comdlets such as NetAdapter, wild card or -IncludeHidden cmdlet, NetIPAddress, Netconnection and NetRoute. Finally, it will discuss how to troubleshoot network issues with PowerShell.
