Incident analyst/responder

The incident analyst/responder role includes a variety of entry-level information security positions focused on responding to and analyzing cybersecurity incidents.

What does an incident responder do?

Incident analysts and responders require an understanding of security operations, a solid foundation of technical skills related to information and network security, and strong communication skills.

It is one of four entry-level, core cybersecurity roles mapped directly to the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education’s CyberSeek model.
