What you will learn
Students will learn how to implement security controls and threat protection, managing identity and access and protecting data, applications and networks in cloud and hybrid environments as part of an end-to-end infrastructure. They will learn how to maintain security posture, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities by using a variety of security tools, implementing threat protection and responding to security incident escalations.

Meet the author
Austin Songer has been working in cybersecurity since 2015. He currently works for a managed security services provider as a SOC engineer in Chicago, Illinois. He has experience in security monitoring, incident response and Azure security and holds several certifications, including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Certified Security Analyst (ECSA).
Austin is passionate about learning and is currently studying for his OSCP certification. Before joining the information security industry, he spent seven years in the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and a master’s degree in information systems from Robert Morris University. Outside of work, Austin enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs.
