    • A look at CLI navigation and help system, the Junos configuration hierarchy concept and output filtering.

    • A brief overview of interface and logging in.

  • Junos Configuration Concepts Video — 00:15:53
    • In this video, we look at active versus candidate configurations, as well as modifying and saving.

  • Command-Line Interface Overview, Part 1 Video — 00:16:12
    • An introduction to Free BSD Shell, entering Junos CLI, functionality in modes and prompt format.

Syllabus

Course description

Learn all the ins and outs of the Juniper Junos OS configuration format and how to interact with the device like a pro. We’ll be covering the built-in help system and CLI modes (operational, BSD shell, configuration) and configuration concepts (active and candidate and operations on them) used throughout the Junos OS. We’ll top it off with the J-Web GUI interface overview.
