Ensuring privacy Course

Course description
As an Internet of Things (IoT) Security Practitioner, you should be concerned about data privacy not only from the perspective of protecting users, but also protecting the organizations that you represent. Violations of data privacy can have consequences affecting customers, harm the organization's reputation and put intellectual property or trade secrets at risk. And failure to protect data properly may also have legal consequences to the organizations entrusted with that data.Syllabus
Dispose of sensitive data
Video - 00:11:00
You have been careful to protect data as you collected it, used it and stored it. At some point, it will no longer be needed. Your responsibility for data does not end until you have properly disposed of it.
Protect sensitive data
Video - 00:17:00
Once PHI, PII, PCI or other sensitive data has been collected, the organization is responsible to ensure it remains private. You must implement appropriate security controls to protect it.
Improve data collection to reduce privacy concerns
Video - 00:23:00
Your responsibility for data begins the moment you collect it, so it is important to collect only the data that is required and to protect the data that you do collect.
