Dan Manolescu
Dan Manolescu holds a Master of Law (LLM) with specialization in Law and Technology, a Master of Arts with a focus on Internet regulations and cybercrime, and a Bachelor of Law degree (LLB). Dan lives in Belgium and has been active for the European Commission and European Parliament on topics of Privacy, Data Protection and Cyber Crime. Dan is member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and Dan’s E-Crime Expert Blog has been featured on the International Association of Privacy Professional’s (IAPP) website. As of August 2011, Dan has partnered with the International Multilateral Partnership Against Cyber Threats (IMPACT) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) joining ENISA, Symantec, Kaspersky, in fighting cybercrime and provide awareness. Dan has been developing tutorials on SNSs/Internet usage, Privacy, Data Protection and Cybercrime, aiming to provide awareness to users, staff members and Organizations.
Dan is specialized in cybercrime legislation, -enforcement, -jurisdiction, -complaints, -research and -presentations. He provides services in notification and documentation for personal data processing and compliance and takes care of your cross-border transfers of personal data (e.g. Safe Harbour, contracts, BCR) and privacy notices. Dan’s services include the drafting of contracts/contractual clauses (e-commerce contracts, cloud computing, ICT, outsourcing, sub-contracting, controller and co-controllership) in order to comply with the National Data Protection Authorities.
