Cybersecurity training roadmaps help organizations upskill teams faster and strengthen security posture

MADISON, WI, June 6, 2022 — Infosec Institute, a leading cybersecurity education provider and part of Cengage Group, announced it will debut its proprietary training roadmaps, Infosec Skills Roles, at the Gartner® Security & Risk Management Summit, June 7-10, in National Harbor, MD. Alongside showcasing this innovation, Infosec will also host an exclusive speaking session with enterprise client Leidos and demonstrate Infosec’s security awareness platform proven to strengthen security cultures and reduce business risk.

Record numbers of cyber incidents and open cybersecurity roles in 2021 fueled the need for security education. To help cyber leaders develop security talent critical to protecting their organizations, Infosec Skills Roles provide personalized training and certification recommendations for the 12 most in-demand cybersecurity positions, enabling enterprises to upskill and cross-train talent at scale. Infosec Skills has helped more than 70% of the Fortune 500 prepare teams to defend against MITRE ATT&CK® tactics and techniques, guide team development and fast-track certification — with over 80% of learners reporting improved skills and abilities.

“To build a security culture, organizations must invest in educating their entire workforce about cybersecurity. More importantly, we must collaborate as an industry to build a future state where we leverage security training and talent development to achieve business outcomes,” said Jim Chilton, GM of Infosec and Chief Information Officer at Cengage Group. “Whether it’s hands-on cyber skills training or security awareness training, Infosec will continue to invest in making learning actionable while helping security leaders better equip teams to counter real-world threats.”

Leidos’ CyberEDGE™ Academy Dean, James Beamon, will join Infosec at the Gartner® Summit for an educational session, Build an Agile Cybersecurity Workforce, on June 7 at 3:45 p.m. ET to discuss the business impact of role-guided cybersecurity training and building an enterprise training program from the ground up. Beamon will share best practices and lessons learned from their novel ‘Training as a Service’ model, allowing Leidos to scale and upskill their security team to agilely evolve with their business.

At the Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit, Infosec will also highlight these  Infosec Skills and Infosec IQ innovations:
