Last time I attempted to certify on CCNA was with a competitor, and I was imperessed with the instructors style and delivery. However, once I had experienced your method of teaching, I then had a different view. He made understanding the subnetting so much easier. He explained things that didnt make sense, and the labs he provided were outstanding.
Course material was more than sufficient to study for the exams. It was properly broken up into pieces that were easy to digest and were focused on exam materials. But the course wasn't just reading from a book, the instructor actually knew the material and taught it as such. He fielded hundreds of questions in the span of the boot camp without breaking a sweat. Highly recommended.
I went to West Point for my bachelors, Columbia for my Masters, and had multiple army led courses and this ranks as one of the best, most engaging courses that I have ever had.
By far the most knowledgeable teacher I've had...ever. His complete understanding of networking even (by far)surpasses those that have the top spots in my company.(I know this because during certain discussions in class, he easily explained things that I know I have heard these other folks "trying" to figure out.) His ability to present information in a way that is both easy to understand and remember is incredible. We went over every single topic and he never skipped peoples questions. He stayed late and had us calling quits before he even considered it. It was very obvious that he cares how well we not only did on the tests but how well we grasped what we were being tested on. Simply put this dude can teach his ass off(He has a passion for what he does that was very clear). The only way I would ever take another one of these classes is if it was with him. Seriously if I could get my money back from when I went to college, I'd spend it following him around for a year. I know for sure I'd certainly have learned more. THANK YOU INFOSEC!!!!!
The instructor was freaking AWESOME!! Made me comfortable enough with the material to schedule the test, where before I left for training I initially cancelled all of them!
The course material looked overwhelming in the beginning. However as the lessons went on, I realized the next topic was just adding on from the previous. Very good job of organizing the material. It was laid out in an organized manor and never really jumped from one topic to another without a smooth transition. It was a fast paced course, but the instructor was always willing to slow down when one of us started to fall behind. His instruction helped me to not only understand the material, but to really internalize and excell with it. Before the class I had the expectation that I would pass, but during the course, just passing wasnt the goal. My goal was to really understand and exceed my expectations. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
I've taken 8-10 tech training courses previously, and this was is the best I have ever taken. Not only did the instructor have excellent knowledge of the Cisco material, but he also had an great understanding of Microsoft, VMware, and other major IT infrastructure technologies. Besides his IT expertise, he was also very entertaining. He has an uncanny ability to keep the class engaged and laughing the entire day. I think InfoSec should charge more for this training because students are getting entertainment in addition to assistance in preparation for the exams. That skill is probably even more valuable than the technical skills as it can be very challenging to keep students engaged for 8-12 hour days for a full week. Not only would I recommend him to anybody, I will probably try to find other courses that he is teaching in the future.
Really a '10 out of 10' is not enough. The level of professionalism is astounding.
The course materials provided were beyond my expectations as was the overall experience. This was the best instructor I have ever had the pleasure of taking a course with. He has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the concepts and articulates the material in a way that allows you to visualize the routing and switching process. I called every student that I attended class with at the Cisco Academy at Clark College and told them that they need to find a course with this instructor as soon as possible. I was very anxious about successfully earning my certification until class began. After the first day, i called my wife and told her that I felt confident that this was one of the best decisions I had ever made. Not only did I earn my certification, but I am much more knowledgeable about the subject matter overall. I had assumed that this would be my last boot camp for a long time but, with what I gained this past week, I will not only enroll in future courses but, I would highly recommend InfoSec Institute to anyone that is looking to further their career in IT.
Amazing instructor. He is able to instruct in a clear and concise manner. His performance is a direct reflection on my opinion of Infosec. I look forward to furthering my education via Infosec.
10/10. This is the way to pass the exam. The course materials had more information than the books created for the exam prep! I was thoroughly impressed with the instructor's knowledge and understanding of the material, and the ease with which he imparted that knowledge to the class and equally impressed with his continued dedication to his past students. When he wasn't instructing (during breaks, etc.) he was spending his time answering questions from former students.
The experience was an awesome one. What an excellent instructor. He really understood all of the underlying technology, explained it very well, and leveraged available technology to "get the point across." He was also very skillful and efficient in teaching those who did not do enough pre-class study and obviously were deficient in the material knowledge for class as a prerequisite. He made use of time between sections to offer these people a more in-depth dive in order to bring them up to speed with the rest. He made himself available pretty much at any hour to assist us with completing the course successfully and really focused on making sure we had the tools and resources to be successful, and was congratulatory and happy when we were.
An excellent instructor or that obviously knows the material by heart. He was always clear and concise in his explanations and would break it down if anyone in the class didnt quite get how something worked. He is by far one of my favorite instructors ever, even though I only spent 7 days with him.
Excellent job. You took a very difficult subject matter, broke it down and presented it in a format that will stick. It not only answered questions, but explained the underlying concepts behind the scenes. Great Job!
The course materials were excellent. The printed slides of the coursework were very good. The lab work presented by the instructor was excellent. I was very satisfied with the approach to teaching the class. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and was able to convey highly technical concepts within the limited time available. Although he was forced to work at such a fast pace required in order to cover the amount of material in such a short time span, I believe he did an outstanding job. His high energy and ability to keep the class progressing made the technical information along with the 18 hour days bearable and interesting. I would highly recommend this. I am interested in CCNP courses, and will make a point to seek out future InfoSec courses.
absolutely incredible - exactly what you need to do to pass the class.
I would like to say that out of all the classes that I have had in the past teaching me about CISCO, this course and instructor has by far has surpassed that level. I did not just learn the material, but I can say that I actually was able to take away useful information that I can use in my job environment.
The course material was exactly what we needed to be successful for a boot camp environment course. Our instructor was phenomenal, if I were able to rate higher than a 10 he would have extended the scale. He was extremely knowledgeable, funny and interactive. He was able to conduct his lectures in a lively manner with and without the power point slides. I'm surprised he doesn't have his own youtube channel. He is by far the best instructor I've ever had and we will be requesting him in the future.
The instructor is a walking treasure chest filled with a wealth of knowledge in anything CISCO. He is Infosec's "hidden wealth." He explains various topics in such plain and simple terms that no one in the classroom felt s/he could not understand. He spewed forth jewels of informational tips and tricks to use to remember how something worked. He is awesome! He is the BEST teacher/trainer/instructor I have ever had in my entire life! (And I've been around a while.)
Overall, Excellent. One of the best instructors I ever had. His interest in our (students) learning and understanding the material presented was his highest objective...along with passing the exams of course.
