Closing the cybersecurity skills gap through education
The Infosec Accelerate Scholarship Program was established in 2018 to encourage new talent to join our industry and close the growing cybersecurity skills gap. Each year, up to 15 scholarship recipients receive lifetime access to Infosec Skills to help them build the skills needed to launch and advance their cybersecurity careers.

Infosec Accelerate Women Scholarship
The Infosec Accelerate Women Scholarship is open to women pursuing a career in cybersecurity. Winners receive lifetime access to Infosec Skills, featuring 100s of hands-on cybersecurity courses and cyber ranges to help them skill up, get certified and advance their careers.
Eligibility & application instructions:

- Applicants must be women actively pursuing a career in cybersecurity
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- Applicants must be a U.S. or Canadian resident
- Recipients must provide a bio and photo and sign a story/photo waiver consent form

Infosec Accelerate BIPOC Scholarship
The Infosec Accelerate BIPOC Scholarship is open to members of underrepresented groups in the cybersecurity industry. Winners receive lifetime access to Infosec Skills, featuring 100s of hands-on cybersecurity courses and cyber ranges to help them skill up, get certified and advance their careers.
Eligibility & application instructions:

- Applicants must self-identify as BIPOC (Black, indigenous or other person of color)
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- Applicants must be a U.S. or Canadian resident
- Recipients must provide a bio and photo and sign a story/photo waiver consent form

Infosec Accelerate Military & Veteran Scholarship
The Infosec Accelerate Military & Veteran Scholarship is open to all active military personnel and veterans pursuing careers in cybersecurity. Winners receive lifetime access to Infosec Skills, featuring 100s of hands-on cybersecurity courses and cyber ranges to help them skill up, get certified and advance their careers.
Eligibility & application instructions:

- Applicants must be active military personnel or veterans with the U.S. Armed Forces
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- Applicants must be a U.S. or Canadian resident
- Recipients must provide a bio and photo and sign a story/photo waiver consent form

Infosec Accelerate Undergraduate Scholarship
The Infosec Accelerate Undergraduate Scholarship is open to college students actively pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in a cybersecurity-related field. Winners receive lifetime access to Infosec Skills, featuring 100s of hands-on cybersecurity courses and cyber ranges to help them skill up, get certified and advance their careers.
Eligibility & application instructions:
- 2023 application dates coming soon
- Applicants must be college students actively pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in a cybersecurity-related field within the U.S. and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- Applicants must be a U.S. or Canadian resident
- Recipients must provide a bio and photo and sign a story/photo waiver consent form

Infosec Accelerate LGBTQI+ Scholarship
Introduced by the Out@Infosec ERG in 2021, the Infosec LGBTQI+ Scholarship is open to all members of the LGBTQI+ community pursuing careers in cybersecurity. Winners receive lifetime access to Infosec Skills, featuring 100s of hands-on cybersecurity courses and cyber ranges to help them skill up, get certified and advance their careers.
Eligibility & application instructions:

- Applicants must self-identify as members of the LGBTQI+ community
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- Applicants must be a U.S. or Canadian resident
- Recipients must provide a bio and photo and sign a story/photo waiver consent form

Infosec Accelerate Scholarship application instructions
Applications for the Infosec Accelerate Scholarship Program open on January 31, 2022 and close on July 31, 2022. U.S. citizens 18 years or older are eligible to apply.
Here’s how to apply:
- Identify the category you wish to enter — BIPOC, Military & Veteran, Undergraduate, LGBTQ+ or Women
- Download and fill out the application form
- Answer the essay prompts on the application form in 300 words or less per question
- Submit your completed application form and essay (word doc format preferred) to scholarship@infosecinstitute.com before July 31, 2022
Winners will be announced the first week of September each year.
