MADISON, WI, September 16, 2020 — Infosec today announced its acceptance as Licensed Partner Publisher (LPP) for the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body (CMMC-AB). Launched in January 2020, the CMMC-AB is an independent accreditation entity responsible for establishing, managing, controlling and administering the CMMC assessment, certification, training and accreditation processes for the Defense Supply Chain.

“Infosec is honored to be named one of just 11 LPPs tasked with preparing future CMMC-AB assessors for the new CMMC Certified Assessor certification exams,” said Jack Koziol, Infosec CEO and founder. “Thousands of federal employees and contractors trust Infosec for best-in-class cybersecurity education and exam preparation. Providing this service to our clients helps them stay competitive and win contracts — either as certified CMMC-AB assessors or organizations seeking a CMMC-AB Maturity Level Certification.”

Established by the U.S. Department of Defense, the CMMC framework assesses and enhances the cybersecurity posture of the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). It serves to validate the appropriate levels of cybersecurity practices and processes needed to support basic cyber hygiene and protect controlled unclassified information on the Department’s industry partners’ networks.

“CMMC-AB certification plays an essential role in mitigating security risk in the Defense Industrial Base supply chain,” said Ben Tchoubineh, Director, CMMC-AB Board of Directors, Chair, Training Committee. “Certifying publishing partners, training providers, assessors and organizations ensures individuals and organizations in the Defense Industrial Base sector are prepared to protect controlled unclassified information in the supply chain.”

Infosec intends to apply for CMMC-AB Licensed Training Provider (LTP) status as soon as applications open. “Over the past 16 years, we’ve learned training delivery can be as or more important than the quality of training materials themselves,” said Koziol. “Infosec will deliver CMMC-certified curriculum through our team of industry-leading cybersecurity instructors. Like all Infosec boot camps, our goal is to ensure aspiring CMMC-AB assessors get certified on their first attempt.”
